Actually, I think the Toyota Corolla I owned was a year newer than this. While it looks pretty close, something about the grill is not quite right. It was bright red. It was the one of the most dependable cars I ever owned. A tin-box with a manual transmission. More than just basic transportation, I could haul stuff in here too. I did learn a lesson while I had this car about not letting the gas tank go down to empty. When I did, which was most likely a lot, it would sputter and stall, until eventually I realized I was letting the sediment, rust and or crud in the bottom of the gas tank get sucked up into the carburetor causing it to stall out.
